Do the proposed plans for the A390 include lots of new roundabouts, crossings and traffic controls?

The proposed development incorporates one new junction off the A390, plus an additional arm of the existing Richard Lander junction (already approved under previous consent for a filling station).

The development also supports the provision of pedestrian and cycle crossings along the A390 between RCHT and the western vehicular access off the A390 . This will give improved access to other users such as pedestrians, cyclists and for public transport.

Following rejections of previous proposals for bypasses to remove through traffic and instead manage increased vehicle usage through measures such as the park and ride system, this approach will help to manage current and future traffic for all users.
