Applying for outline planning permission allows for a decision on the general principle of how a site can be developed.
The Council’s Strategic Planning Committee unanimously approved the hybrid planning application for the Langarth GV scheme in December 2021. Outline planning permission for the Garden Village and full planning permission for Fordh Langarth (the main road through the development previously known as the Northern Access Road) was then formally granted in April 2022.
Following the granting of planning permission, the focus has moved onto delivering the scheme. This delivery phase of the project is being led by Treveth working in partnership with Cornwall Council.
Work is now taking place on preparing detailed ‘reserved matters’ applications which deal with areas not included in the outline application proposal. These include the appearance, means of access, landscaping, and scale of the development.
